The Durham Workforce Authority (DWA) provides local labour market information (LMI) specific to Durham Region and produces an annual Labour Market Plan based on analyses of local data. Working with the broader community, the DWA creates initiatives to focus on local issues identified by LMI to make this information readily available to the local workforce.
The DWA continues to be a great resource for community stakeholders and Durham Region residents, regularly obtaining feedback on its projects and LMI. In addition, the DWA partners together with other community organizations to ensure the dynamic workforce has wraparound support at every community service level.
The DWA plays a significant role within the community as leading specialists to develop LMI and identify trends. By adapting to technology, information changes and trends, we ensure consistent and on-target production of LMI to the community.
